Expertise of EyeROV TUNA

EyeROV TUNA is a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROUV) commonly called as ROVs in the industry which is  specialised in inspections of critical infrastructures like Dams,Bridges (mainly Railway bridges ) and similar water retaining structures .EyeROV has focused the capabilities of TUNA along these sectors as we realise that energy and transportation will play a key role in establishing India along the lines of other developed countries in the world.

According to NRLD(National register of large dams) and ICOLD(International Commission on Large Dams) India ranks third globally with 5334 large dams in operation and about 411 are under construction. Thus hydro power plays a critical role in

driving the national output in our country.A small percentage of increase in the efficiency of these water retaining structures will result in a exponential increase in our national output. It is also to be noted that many of these large dams in India are more than 100 years in age. Thus systematic assessment and inspection work is critical for ensuring not only the energy efficiency but also to address the safety concerns of the society. The various interstate disputes also suggest that there is a need of better utilisation of our valuable natural resources.Like dams which plays a critical role in the energy output

In India, the indian railways which is popularly called as life line of our nation is another critical infrastructure which connects our large and diversified nation.Indian Railways (IR) is India’s national railway system operated by the Ministry of Railways. It manages the fourth largest railway network in the world by size, with a route length of 67,368-kilometre (41,861 mi) and total track length of 121,407-kilometre (75,439 mi).

As on 01.04.2017, Indian railways has 1,44,698 railway bridges out of which 680 are important railway bridges, 11,915 are major railway bridges  and 1,32,103 are minor railway bridges. In the year 2016-17, 753 railway bridges were strengthened/ rehabilitated/rebuilt.
